Appreciate This Moment!

Team USA defeated France 98-87 in the Gold Medal game! It was a total team effort. Steph had 24, KD had 15, Booker had 15, Lebron had 14. Steph Curry was sensational especially down the stretch when he hit a crazy shot to push the score from 93-87 to 96-87. Lebron, KD, and Booker were steady throughout the entire game. AD and Ant also had nice contributions with 8 points each and AD was very good on the defensive end. France put up a good fight as Wemby played his heart out in front of his home country putting up 26 points and 7 rebounds. But at the end of the day, no team was capable of dismantling the Avengers.
This entire Olympics for men's basketball, to me, was all about the "old" men on the block. It was a reminder to all basketball fans that we should appreciate guys like Lebron, Steph, and KD. From Lebron's boat picture, KD breaking the all-time Olympic scoring record to seeing Steph putting up his "night night" celly after a crazy shot to essentially end the gold medal game was incredibly cool to see and I will never take it for granted that I was able to witness this in real-time. This is probably their last Olympics so we may never see these 3 team up again which sucks to think about.
It was a truly special run to witness this Olympic basketball run and see how the young players looked up to these 3. I hope that moving forward we, as fans, compare these athletes and just appreciate what they did for the game because they will be retired sooner than you realize.
