Dominance!

The CU Buffs went down to Florida and played their best game in the Prime Time era, defeating the UCF Knights 48-21. The Knights, heading into this game, were favored by 13.5 points, and after seeing the play today, that line seemed silly. So, how did Colorado Dominate?
O-line Played Big
The Buffs' offensive line did a masterful job for the running backs as the team ran for 128 yards on 4.4 yards per carry. 128 yards isn't a crazy amount but given that the Buffs have great weapons on the outside with guys like Hunter, Wester, Miller, etc... a solid to-the-good run game is more than enough as it will draw safeties down closer to the line of scrimmage and will allow for those playmakers to make their plays against one on one looks which is exactly what happened today. Shedeur Sanders was kept fairly clean all day in the pocket and as a result, played his finest game of the season throwing for 290 yards and 3 TDs on 28/35. After an early interception on the first drive, he played an almost perfect game and made great throws to Hunter and Sheppard for scores. If this team can run the ball like this moving forward, they are no longer just going to be an entertaining team to watch, they are going to win some games as well.
Travis Hunter
I mean just give him the Heisman right now I don't care what the Buffs record is going to be. The man plays offense and defense and is the best player on both sides of the ball. He had 9 catches for 89 yards and a TD, and on defense, he made an incredible diving interception. He is no doubt going to be a top 5- top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. His endurance is something that needs to be more appreciated. He plays every offensive snap and every defensive snap. The only time he gets a break is during a commercial timeout. That is crazy to me. And for him to consistently be the best player week in and week is something we fans cannot take for granted. I am excited to see what he does in the NFL. Will he declare as a corner or wide receiver?
This was by far one of the most complete games this team has played in years and I was happy to see this team play with this sense of urgency even after the win last week. They played like a team that knew they were lucky to win a week ago and, as a result, took their game to another level and beat a very good football team that came into this game with a 3-0 record. Coach Prime deserves a lot of credit for having this team ready to go right from the jump and he has this college town excited for the rest of the season. They get a break this week so they can enjoy this win a little longer and then they come back on Oct. 12 for the gold rush game vs Kansas State.
